Metaforic is a corporation that was founded in Glasgow, Scotland in 2006 by entrepreneur Andrew McLennan, IP and IT law specialist Linda MacKellar, and technologist and security specialist Neil Stewart. Metaforic moved to California, U.S., where it was incorporated July 16, 2008, in the State of Delaware. Metaforic is now headquartered in San Jose, CA, U.S. with global offices in Glasgow, UK and Tokyo, Japan. Metaforic is a privately held, venture captial (VC)-backed company with operations in the United States, Europe and Japan. Investors include Pentech Ventures, Scottish Enterprise and SEP. Metaforic is focused on supplying self-defending software technology to create application security.
