ObjectStyle has deep roots in the open-source community.
In the early 2000's, Andrus Adamchik and a group of co-workers were looking for an open alternative to commercial ORM solutions for Java. Since there were none available, they ended up writing their own framework called "Cayenne" (now "Apache Cayenne" - since it's presently part of the Apache Software Foundation).
About a year later, Andrus organized ObjectStyle, a consultancy for companies that needed help implementing Apache Cayenne. Among the early adopters of the framework were the National Hockey League, the Law Library of Congress, and other well-known organizations.
Over the years, ObjectStyle kept adding new services to its portfolio. Nowadays, it's a fully-fledged provider of custom software development services with offices in three countries: the United States, Poland, and Belarus.
Other open-source products that were started by ObjectStyle include Bootique.io, LinkREST and LinkMove.
