Description
I have been programming computers since ~1980. My particular interest is "how best to express computation in a given context", so am interested in programming paradigms and language design/implementation. I am also interested in embedded systems. I currently work in hardware simulation. I am fascinated by the history of our field, especially microcomputers. I have developed free compilers and interpreters, such as ACE Basic. I have considered forming a history SIG of the ACS (www.acs.org) SA branch. I am also interested in the history of programming languages (HOPL etc).
