It was a private company based in Pennsylvania (USA) which developed software solutions for the Project Portfolio Management market On January 1, 2009 Oracle Corporation took legal ownership of Primavera. Primavera has been called one of the technology leaders in the Project Portfolio Management market by a recent research document created by Forrester. With more than 450,000 users in more than 60,000 companies it has been stated to be the current global market leader by market share, mainly due to its recent acquisition of Pertmaster and Prosight in December 2006
