Description

Recognized internationally for his contributions to software engineering and requirements engineering, Finkelstein graduated from the LSE with a Masters in systems, then went on to take a PhD at the Royal College of Arts in Design, where design was interpreted to include systems design. He joined the computing department at University College, where his research led to rapid promotion. Finkelstein became head of the Department and has served as Dean of Engineering, commencing in the fall of 2010.

His contributions to the study of Software Engineering and in particular the role of requirements engineering are recognized internationally. He has served as chair of IFIP WG 2.9, and his research publications have been awarded prizes.
