M160
Description

This was the bottom-end computer in Fujitsu's Large FACOM M-100 Series. It was developed with subsidies from the Ministry of International Trade and Industry, and announced in May 1975. It used the same architecture as the FACOM M-190 ultra-large computer. An improved price-performance ratio was obtained through innovations like using the microprogram control system for the CPU and channel control, and sharing control memory with the CPU and channel control (see Specifications of the Large FACOM M-100 Series).
