Description

The PRIMERGY 6000 series of office computers was Fujitsu’s successor to the GRANPOWER 6000 series. Fujitsu announced the series in May 2000. All models in the PRIMERGY 6000 series used either Intel Pentium III processors or Intel Pentium III Xeon processors, giving them as much as 140 percent more performance on a CPU basis than the GRANPOWER 6000 models. Fujitsu realigned its IA*1 servers under a single brand, with PC servers sold under PRIMERGY and office computers under PRIMERGY 6000.
