7150
Description

The Dell PowerEdge 7150 is the company's first Itanium-based server and one of the first out of the gate to use Intel's newly developed 64-bit architecture. Dell has targeted three market segments with the release of the 7150: large-database users looking for more memory capacity; the engineering and scientific computing communities, which are constantly seeking more computing power; and software developers who are now writing code for future 64-bit programs. In addition, the 7150 provides a platform for businesses that want to get an early start on the inevitable transition to 64-bit technology.
