Description

The model 840 was the first HP computer to feature the new PA-RISC CPU. The new 32-bit computer had more than double the CPU performance available with the 9000/550. The original 840 came standard with 8 MB of RAM, expandable to 24 MB. The 840 could use the same CIO interface boards that were used in the 500 Series computers.
