Description

The Color LaserJet was HP's first color laser printer; it contained a Konica print engine. The Color LaserJet had upgradable memory and a color print resolution of 300 dots per inch. It could print black images in both A3 and A4 sizes; it could only print color images in A4 size. The Color LaserJet was reasonably priced and very inexpensive to operate compared to competitors of the time. It had a major limitation in that the quality of its color output was relatively poor. Most of HP's inkjet printers of the time could produce higher quality color output.
