I entered the computing field in May, 1966, as a "digital computer systems analyst (trainee) at the US Veterans Administration. After finishing a PhD in PUblic
Administration with a concentration in "management information systems," I joined the American University faculty. I retired as Professor of Computer Science and Information Systems in May 2002.
