Physicist (PhD 1984), co-founder UvA Computer Science Department (1982). Initiator (1990) and primary force behind the computer collection. Retired as associate professor 2001, since then curator of the UvA Computer Museum (www.science.uva.nl/museum), now one of the Special Collections of the University Library.
