Developer of foundational concepts in IT and information ethics, Mason has served as Carr P. Collins Professor of Management Information Sciences at the Edwin L. Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University. He authored "Four Ethical Issues of the Information Age," published in MISQ in 1986, and co-authored Ethics of Information Management in 1995 with F. Mason and M. Culnan.
