Regarded as the first African American woman to obtain a web-based software patent, Bashen earned that distinction through her invention of LinkLine, a web-based EEO software application designed to assist with equal employment opportunity investigations and claims tracking. LinkLine is now known as Nalikah.

An American entrepreneur and business consultant as well as a software inventor, Bashen built a career focused on practical technology solutions in the equal employment opportunity space.
