Description
Founding father of the academic discipline of MIS, Davis established research and teaching in MIS at the University of Minnesota in 1967. Davis authored and co-authored foundation texts in the discipline. He played a major role in establishing university curricula in MIS and IS.
Davis tutored generations of research students who in their turn became leaders in the IS discipline. He has received numerous awards for his service to MIS, including the prestigious LEO Award of the Association for Information Systems.
