Description

Known for his innovative thinking about information systems and his recognition of the relevance of transaction cost theory, Ciborra inspired researchers and thinkers around the world. He recognized the importance of tinkering, bricolage, and emotion in the development and use of information systems, and saw the relevance of transaction cost theory in the way organizations behaved. Ciborra was active, too, in the field of risk management, and worked from his base at the London School of Economics.
