Description

A founding member of WITI, Turbyfill built a career marked by pioneering commercial milestones, including work on the first firewall appliance and early virtual private networks (VPNs). Her first research project was the Wisconsin Benchmark for relational database systems, an early and significant contribution to the field.

Turbyfill demonstrated a consistent commitment to creating environments where women feel supported and can grow in technology careers. She served as Entrepreneur in Residence at WITI, furthering that mission through mentorship and engagement with the broader community of women in technology.
