Description
With millions of individual parts to describe, each part having to be described differently for each phase of a project, the complexity in standardizing material descriptions is significant. Material codes are the obvious answer. However, a code that satisfies Engineering, while ignoring the requirements of Procurement or Construction, provides little overall benefit.
