NEC rolled out two new lines in the Parallel ACOS series — the PX7800SV and the PX7600SV — in April 1998. The PX7800SV line in particular ran on the newly developed NOAH-4, a CMOS processor, and set the world speed record with the 32 NOAH-4 processor model.
