This is a basic, entry-level TDMA phone. The A1228d is the original model. The A1228di adds two-way text messaging. The A1228LX is the model specifically for AT&T Wireless, and does include 2-way text messaging. It weighed 6.1 oz, it had 4 hours of talk, and could hold 200 contacts.
