The south bridge of i965Gm-IFM is the latest Intel ICH8. There are two IEEE1394 ports, nine USB 2.0 ports, and four Serial ATA ports for various extend possibilities. Since ICH8 does not support PATA interface, AOpen i965Gm-IFM bundles a SATA-to-PATA conversion board for optical drives and hard disk drives with IDE interfaces. AOpen i965Gm-IFM is the world's first Micro ATX motherboard that support PCI Express Mini Card slot, where you can install Wireless LAN, TV tuner, and Intel Robson cards to extend system capabilities with minimal space and power requirements.
