Performance-wise, the 1218 series is quite a head-turner, offering some very good numbers in both office and multimedia/creation mode. In terms of equivalent power, the 1218 with its 2.6GHz clockspeed is about as fast as a 2.3-2.4GHz Core-based Xeon Woodcrest (4MB of unified cache, LGA 775).
