The Company was incorporated on May 25, 1992 under the name of Rathi Mercantile & Management Services Private Ltd. Subsequently the Company was converted into a Public Limited Company on March 16, 1994 and the name was changed to Rathi Mercantile & Management Services Ltd. The name of the Company was then changed to Rathi Merchantile Industries Ltd. on May 23, 1994.
